Industrial packaging components
IBERIAHOLZ manufactures plywood parts and components for transport and industrial packaging according to customer drawings, samples and technical requirements. Our focus is on recurring B2B applications where packaging forms part of the customer's production or logistics process.

Customer specification
IBERIAHOLZ does not operate as a standard packaging catalogue supplier. We evaluate applications where plywood components must be manufactured according to specific requirements for design, dimensions, material, load conditions, product securing, transportation, repeatability and supply volume. The production approach is defined individually following technical review.
Component examples
Depending on the application, we can evaluate production of panels and side elements, bases, covers, internal separators, securing components, support elements, inserts, custom-shaped parts and other packaging components manufactured to customer technical documentation.

Industrial use
This approach is primarily intended for companies that require repeatable packaging components rather than one-off packaging. Typical requirements may include consistent geometry from batch to batch, fit to a specific product, ease of assembly or packing, protection during transportation, recurring volumes, consistent material and machining, standardized labeling and regular supply.
Geometry is defined around the product and the function of the packaging component.
Load, securing method and transport requirements are considered during evaluation.
The component is evaluated for recurring production rather than a one-off build.
Batch size, frequency, marking, packing and delivery requirements are defined together.
Initial input
For an initial review, the customer may provide a packaging component drawing, CAD file, existing sample, dimensions of the packed product, photographs, securing requirements, load requirements, transport method, estimated volume and expected supply frequency. If a complete packaging design is not yet available, the discussion can begin with the application requirements and key constraints.
Material
The plywood specification is selected according to the requirements of the individual packaging application. The evaluation may consider required strength, thickness, plywood construction, surface quality, expected load, weight of the packed product, transport conditions, machining requirements and overall production economics. The final material specification is agreed before serial production begins.
Manufacturing
Depending on the design, the production process may include cutting, CNC machining, milling, drilling, slot machining, external contour processing, edge processing, sanding, marking, preparation for packing or assembly and dimensional inspection. The required operations are defined by the design of each packaging component.
Level of completion
IBERIAHOLZ can begin with the production of individual plywood components according to customer documentation. As a production program develops, additional operations may be evaluated to increase the level of completion of the supplied product, including marking, component kitting, preparation of component sets, additional machining operations, preparation for further assembly and packaging of manufactured components. The scope of responsibility is defined individually for each program.

Quality
For industrial packaging, quality depends not only on the dimensions of an individual part but also on repeatability throughout the production program. Inspection may include incoming material control, first-part verification, dimensional and geometry control, hole and slot positioning, marking, completeness, batch identification and final release.

The packing method for manufactured components is defined separately from their final packaging application. Where required, it may include palletization, protective wrapping, separators, load securing, labeling and batch identification. IBERIAHOLZ can also organize export documentation and international logistics. Shipments can be supplied with EUR.1 movement certificates where applicable.
